my poor child

So we will never forget the famous unicorn bump of '09. The poor thing has scar tissue STILL! It was right before school pictures & we opted out of retakes cause it was just too awesome!

Here's the wound of 2011. I got a call from his school saying he had gotten hurt on the playground & could I come down & get him. I was thinking he had fallen off the monkey bars & was just done for the day. Nope, wasn't expecting this when I walked into the school office. (this pic actually makes it look quite mild too.) He said he fell into a "horn" bush. Pretty sure its a thorn bush. It was really quite gross to look at cause the scratches were all puffy. (if you look closely you can see the bump of '09). Turns out school pictures are this Friday (the actual accident happened last week). We laughed at this thinking of the memories we will have looking at all his head wounds throughout the years. Luckily it has healed nicely & almost gone so he will probably be scab free by Friday.

We were thinking this would also be a good look for pictures.
