Tess starts preschool tomorrow, Chase kindergarten next week :(
It's feeling like the END OF SUMMER!
so I wanted to post our Cali trip.
BIKING ON THE BEACH
This was for sure my favorite thing on the trip! It reminded me of the summer trips we used to take to a beach house when I was a little girl. Always with the same families!
I remember biking on the beach & wanting my hair the same as Brittani :)
So I've started a new little tradition with my own little clan.
And let me tell you, they LOVED it.
Especially the hubby.
DISNEYLAND
We had to do it at least one day. Even though it was super crowded & prices have gone up people!!
But look at my lukey in this picture. He was done before we even entered the gates! Don't worry, after a few rides, half a bottle of propel, & throwing up.....the kid finally took a nap & was good to go for the rest of the day.
Tessa & i loved the parade the best. It's new. All about princesses.
ORANGE COUNTY FAIR
We were looking forward to this part of our trip the most. This is one good fair! The food is great (turkey legs are scotts favorite), they have fried everything, & all the other good carni food, rides, & games.
Luke loved this ride & sobbed when it was over!
This llama's teeth is my favorite!
THE POOL
THE BEACH
AND THE PLANE RIDE HOME!
Yes, that is me really close to tears if not already there & we hadn't even boarded the plane yet. This bad boy was so tired, he was beyond being consoled. So he just screamed. It was great!
It was a good 1/2 hour of screaming on the plane before he settled down & slept. We vowed we would never travel with him again. Ever.
(but we seem to forget pretty fast too)

I love that you can be seen in that last pic with Luke! :)
So sad about summer being over. Ugh, I think yesterday might have been our last day at the pool!!
I seriously adore you.
Love the photos of your vaca - it looks like it was so fun! I can completely empathize with the plane ride having taken one like that with Olivia years ago, her sick with the roto virus and having the flights delayed while stuck on the plane for 8 hours! Next trip will be better:)
I totally remember those beach house trips! I have photo of the two of us with the braided side ponytail. I remember thinking how fun it was to have a "twin sister."
That photo of Luke is classic. I'm glad that it ended up being a good vacation. What a great idea to get bikes.
And yes, bread. I will share the perfect bread recipe when I find one. Thanks for the Bosch tip.
