chicago....part 1

we took a ton of pictures so this may be picture overload!
Last week we packed up & headed back to Chicago for a little visit.
We just can't stay away!
The week started out rough, really rough. I caught a nasty flu bug before we left & my hubby had to take care of me & the kiddos cause I was down flat. He then flew out to St. Louis where he came down with the same bug! It was brutal. I had to call my friend (thanks Jess if you are reading this) to take care of my hubby in St. Louis.
I never thought we would ever be able to make it to Chicago but we did! We met up with Scott and had a super fun, super busy time!
Our first stop was the field museum. We hadn't done it before so decided to give it a whirl! It was not as kid friendly as say the aquarium out there, but we still had a great time. I personally think the building is beautiful!
This is SUE. The giant T-rex.
Chase loved it.
oh my 5 year old was in rare form this trip.
He totally posed.

Wondering how my 15 month old terror did on the flight???
He was great on the way there. The way home was a whole other nightmare.

The first night we were there we were able to hang out with my bestest friend from college & her hubby. We met up in this crazy posh suburb & went to dinner & then bowled. The bowling alley was super fancy. Leather couches, big screen tv's, a big step up from FAT CAT'S.
I bragged to all me fellow bowlers how I took a bowling class at BYU!
I probably should have never told them that since the first game i bowled something ridiculous like 50.
Kristin & myself.
Love her.
talk to her everyday almost. And wish so badly we lived closer.
It had been last summer since I had seen her but it felt like last week!
a little group shot.
We ate the best food, had such great company, & finished it off with bowling.
Thanks for hanging out with us guys!!!
Wish you lived in UT ;)

I love the fierce shots of Chase! Sorry Luke was rough on the flight! That's pretty much the only thing keeping me from visiting anyone this summer...I do not want to make the super long flight alone with Indie. That's why you guys need to come to me :)
